Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is designed to raise workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
